Miss Julie
By August Strindberg
October 16 – November 2, 2025
The play that shocked the world — and redefined modern theatre.
On Midsummer’s Eve in a secluded Swedish manor, the aristocratic Miss Julie and her father’s valet, Jean, enter into a volatile dance of seduction, manipulation, and shifting power. What begins as flirtation quickly unravels into a brutal psychological battle, where class, gender, and raw ambition collide.
When Miss Julie premiered in 1888, its frank portrayal of desire, dominance, and social upheaval shattered theatrical conventions. Strindberg’s naturalistic masterpiece stripped away artifice to expose human behavior in its most primal form — changing the stage forever.
A one-night descent into chaos.
A landmark in dramatic history.
Miss Julie still cuts like a knife.
