Speak the Speech Workshop – Spring 2026
In this 9 week workshop we will focus on the clues Shakespeare puts in his text for actors. Using in depth scene work, young actors will be on their feet, discovering ways to express themselves with voice and body.
We will also explore how the tools we use to unlock Shakespeare can be used in any aspect of performance and public speaking.
At the end of the session, students will show their work by presenting a performance for parents and friends.
This workshop will use soliloquies and scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, The Two Noble Kinsman, and more.
Who is this for?
- All kids 12 – 18!
What are the requirements?
- No previous experience with Shakespeare or acting is necessary.

Bedford Hills Community House

Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30. 4/8-6/3 (9 WEEKS)
Plus one weekend day on the weekends of 5/16 and 5/30 (tbd according to students’ schedules)
